Joth Ricci, former CEO of Dutch Bros, to join College of Business as executive in residence

The College of Business at has appointed Joth Ricci ‘91, former CEO of Dutch Bros, as executive in residence.
Ricci’s engagement with the college, which began February 26, includes mentoring students, helping launch and replicate initiatives like at OSU-Cascades, and advising college leadership on strategy and culture-building initiatives.
“I’m thrilled that Joth has agreed to join the College of Business,” said Tim Carroll, the Sara Hart Kimball Dean in the College of Business. “He offers us a wealth of industry insights and connections, as well as the ability to help us refine our vision for what a business school could look like now and in the future. I’m looking forward to all the opportunities our partnership brings, especially for our students.”

Joth Ricci graduated from State with a degree in business education in 1991. Throughout his career, he has served as CEO and Board Member of several companies, including Adelsheim Vineyard and Stumptown Coffee. Most recently, he served as the president, chief executive officer and board member at Dutch Bros from 2019-2023. There, he led the company through a strategic growth plan and IPO in September, 2021.
He is also the past chairman of the Business Council, served on ’s Racial Justice Council and co-founded , which supports ’s BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities in the food and wine industry.
Ricci is a passionate mentor and coach and has dedicated time to advising boards, organizations and individuals around key strategic initiatives to ensure strong economic growth throughout and equitable opportunities for all.
