Business Analytics

Business analytics provides balanced training on both the business and technical aspects of analytics. The College of Business offers an MBA and a graduate certificate in business analytics.

MBA (60 credits) 
Builds the skills to lead projects, communicate outcomes and strategies across organizations, compose analytic tools and concepts to create innovative data-analytic solutions.

Certificate (18 credits)
Offers technical skill such as data cleaning, data management, data mining, machine learning, text mining, and natural language processing. 

Overview

Business analytics provides balanced training on both the business and technical aspects of analytics. These skills and knowledge prepare you for jobs across all industries as companies leverage the importance of data science in day-to-day decision-making.

You’ll work directly with corporate leadership on sponsored projects that bear solutions to existing challenges in their companies. You’ll interface and build your network with some of the region’s top businesses all while learning and collaborating with a diverse and dynamic cohort of students.

What you’ll learn

Research and problem-solving that benefit business and community as well as advance the field of business analytics for our students and faculty is core to the OSU Center for Business Analytics and Applied AI.

At the center, we are thought leaders in business analytics, accomplishing our goals through sponsored projects, community training and faculty research.

Our graduate student researchers are a critical link to theory and practice, designing actual results-driven business projects, putting data science into practice, and expanding expertise in using analytical methods to translate organizational data into business opportunities. Each year, the center runs symposia and community boot camps for practicing professionals in business analytics.
